Oh! Es ist eigentlich ein Riegel (Stichlinie), um das elastische Geflecht in der Tasche an Ort und Stelle zu halten! Gleiche Technik gilt für die Seitentaschen.
Sind hier andere Leute, die dachten, es sei ein Loch? Wenn ja, mache ich ein anderes Bild.

Yes, it looked very much like a hole to me too. Just an idea, not sure if it actually makes sense: you could take a more colorful thread for the bartack (e.g. in the same yellow as the straps on some photos, which I do like since I've fumled around with black straps in the near dark a few too many times by now) and turn it from a technical neccessity into a fashion statement. A really nice pack, anyway!
